October Reading and Open Mic

We at Glass Mountain are so excited to host our second reading and open mic of the semester in just a couple of weeks! We have three great readers lined up for you: Clarity Lim, a current student at UH, Rachel Lee, a UH grad, and Luisa Muradyan Tannahill, the Editor of Gulf Coast. There’s no Halloween theme for this reading, but the spook-tacular quality of writing just might scare the pants off of you…come on out to Bohemeo’s Cafe on Tuesday, October 25th at 7 PM and make sure to take part in the open mic after the reading!

Open Mic Night at Bohemeo’s

Last night, the 2010 Boldface conferees brought it with their best stuff! The short stories were alternately hilarious and moving, and the poetry was earth-shatteringly beautiful (and hilarious, especially Brian’s “Bunny Poem”). Special thanks to Gerald Cedillo for setting us up in this awesome space and to Brian Mensik for doing an outstanding job emceeing the event. Thanks guys!

And most of all, thanks to the conferees for making this event as special as it was. We are so lucky to have such talented conferees this year – this is what makes Boldface special.
